The story

La Passerelle, Paris – Modern Cuisine on the Seine by Chef Mickaël Meziane

A riverside haven for modern cuisine

At the entrance to the enchanting Île Saint-Germain in Issy-les-Moulineaux, La Passerelle sits on the banks of the Seine, surrounded by lush greenery. The restaurant’s peaceful terrace looks out over the river and its houseboats, offering a rare bucolic escape just minutes from central Paris. This idyllic setting earned the restaurant a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026, recognising its refined gastronomic approach.

Chef Mickaël Meziane’s journey

Mickaël Meziane discovered his passion for cooking in his father’s restaurant, L’Harissa. He spent eleven years honing his craft alongside some of France’s most respected chefs – Jérôme Mazur, Stéphane Le Marchand, Patrice Pasquier, Benoît Rambaut, David Alves (at La Table de Joël Robuchon and L’Atelier Étoile), Jérôme Banctel, and Edouard Uchiyama. This rigorous training in Michelin-starred kitchens awakened his ambition to create his own gastronomic sanctuary. The result is La Passerelle, where he brings a cuisine that is delicate, creative, and generous – always putting the product first.

A menu that changes with the seasons

Meziane’s cooking is built on rigorously selected, seasonal ingredients. The carte evolves every two weeks, reflecting the chef’s abundant creativity. Dishes are classic French in spirit, but their composition and refinement reveal a modern touch. A lunch menu offers lighter options, while the Signature menu presents a full tasting experience. The wine list, curated by sommelier Virginie, is a treasure trove of French grands crus alongside well-priced discoveries. The cellar itself is visible through a glass floor in the vestibule – a spectacle that invites exploration.

Atmosphere and experience

Inside, the dining room is chic and modern, with wide table spacing for comfort and privacy. In warmer months, the terrace becomes the heart of the experience – a serene spot to enjoy the changing light on the Seine. The restaurant also accommodates private parties. Whether you come for a business lunch or a special evening, La Passerelle delivers a memorable encounter with modern French gastronomy.
