The story
On a quiet stretch of rue Marguerite-de-Rochechouart in the 9th arrondissement, LAZU is a restaurant that wears its independence proudly. “LAZU is a chef-owned restaurant, and that changes everything,” says chef Rémi Lazurowicz. That conviction runs through every detail: the menu, the atmosphere, the way guests are welcomed.
Lazurowicz describes his cooking as “French cuisine that is legible, precise, and contrasting.” The kitchen focuses on clean execution and bold juxtapositions of flavour and texture, working within a modern cuisine framework that stays rooted in French tradition. The menu changes regularly, and the small-plates format encourages sharing and exploration.
The dining room is designed to feel convivial and unpretentious, while the restaurant has also earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a recognition that aligns naturally with the chef’s exacting standards. LAZU is open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Saturday.
In a separate space next door, Le Comptoir LAZU offers a more casual, all-day experience. Open from breakfast through evening, it functions as a neighbourhood wine bar and restaurant with a vibrant, colourful 1980s-inspired décor. Here, guests can enjoy small plates, cocktails, and natural wines in a relaxed setting.
Whether at the main restaurant or the comptoir, LAZU delivers a clear point of view: modern French cooking from a chef who is fully in charge.
