Celebrated table
The story
Le Café du Coin operates as a neighborhood bistro in Paris, anchored by chef Raphaële Bernard-Salmirs. After training at ChezAline, Le Chateaubriand, and Le Meurice, she transformed the former Café Vert into a dedicated kitchen space. Her partner Ilaria Conti joins her daily to refine straightforward bistro recipes that prioritize seasonal produce. The team taste-tests every creation during the weekday lunch rush before adding it to the permanent menu.
The lunch service highlights flash-seared radicchio tossed with feta and fried guanciale. Karaage chicken carries a substantial breading, coated in mentsuyu and accompanied by roasted squash and cumin-spiced cabbage slaw. Pastry work stays equally precise, such as a blood orange pavlova built around a sharp lemon curd layer. This consistent execution secured a spot in the 2026 Le Fooding guide.
An apple green exterior signals the entrance along Rue Danton. Copper bar counters reflect light from tall Venetian mirrors and suspended paper lanterns. Morning service begins at eight thirty with freshly brewed specialty coffee and trays of house-made cookies. Guests frequently return for thick slices of orange cake while watching the street outside.
