The story
Le Coucou is a welcoming café in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, found at 14 rue Bochart de Saron, just below Anvers and a short walk from Avenue Trudaine. It is part of the La Pantruchoise family, a group that includes other well-regarded addresses like Le Pantruche and Caillebotte.
The space is designed for sharing. At its heart is a central bar where the team prepares small plates meant to be passed around the table. The atmosphere is convivial, making it equally suited for an intimate dinner or a larger gathering. With 34 seats, the main room can be taken over for private events, and there is also a back room that accommodates about twenty guests.
Le Coucou serves Modern Cuisine in a relaxed setting, open every day. Lunch is offered Monday to Friday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, and dinner runs Monday to Saturday from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with a second service at 9:15 PM. On Saturdays, brunch is served from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and on Sundays and public holidays, it stretches from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
The restaurant has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a recognition that speaks to its consistent quality and the appeal of its straightforward, ingredient-driven cooking. It’s a place where the focus stays on the food and the company, without unnecessary fuss.
