The story
Le Cyrano is a place with history. The building near Place de Clichy has stood for over a hundred years, serving first as a brothel before becoming a favourite haunt of the Surrealists. That past is still present in the intact décor of the dining room.
Since autumn 2022, four friends have taken over the address, bringing new energy while respecting what was there before. They've dusted off the classic bistro plates without losing the soul of the place.
At the stove is chef Charleyne Valet, whose cooking is described as generous, simple and inventive. The menu is built on fresh, homemade produce, and the kitchen's modern cuisine updates the bistro tradition with a lighter, more creative touch.
The restaurant describes itself as a "lieu de vie" — a living room where you can stop in from the morning coffee through to the last drink of the night. That openness, combined with a terrace for warmer months, makes it as suited to a long lunch as a late evening.
Le Cyrano's revival has not gone unnoticed. The restaurant earned a Michelin Recommendation in the 2026 guide, a nod to the quality of its modern cuisine and the warmth of its welcome. It's one of those rare Parisian spots where the past and present sit comfortably at the same table.
