The story
In the 17th arrondissement, Le Faham is the story of a chef and her island. Kelly Rangama, who runs the kitchen alongside her husband, pastry chef Jérôme, opened the restaurant in June 2019. The name comes from the faham, a fragrant orchid that symbolizes her cooking: spicy, always controlled, with a touch of exoticism.
The cuisine here is modern, but its soul is Réunionnaise. Rangama describes her style as “épicée mais toujours maîtrisée, avec une pointe d’exotisme” — spicy but always measured, with a hint of the ultramarine. The menus change with the seasons, but the thread is clear: bold flavors, precise technique, and a deep connection to the Indian Ocean. A lunch menu offers a three-course format, while the longer “Menu Insulaire” (four sequences) and “Menu Envol” (six sequences) allow for a deeper exploration. Wine pairings are available for both.
The dining room is intimate, the service attentive without being stiff. It’s the kind of place where the cooking speaks first — and it speaks clearly. Just six months after opening, Le Faham received its first Michelin star, a recognition it has held ever since. For a restaurant that draws so directly from personal history, that star feels less like a label and more like a confirmation.
