The story

Le Favori Paris: A Vintage Sandwich Shop Recognized by Le Fooding

The hands behind the counter

Le Favori operates as a focused Tunisian-French snack shop right here in Paris. Charles, Kevin, and Alexis run this compact kitchen with a focus on straightforward quality rather than complicated menus. They source proteins like Zingam butter and ham alongside Mediterranean produce to build their daily selections.

Pale green tiles and cold storage

The space feels deliberately nostalgic, anchored by pale green tiling and a vintage facade that draws eyes past the street window. A real Mr. Freeze refrigerator sits prominently near the ordering area, keeping ingredients visible and cool. The streamlined approach recently earned a spot on the Le Fooding roster, validating their commitment to simple execution.

Numbered plates and bold fillings

Guests select from a strictly numbered list that rotates daily. The number thirty stands out as a remastered Tunisian-inspired sandwich built on a Mamiche bun with tuna, piquillos, potatoes, capers, and harissa. Simple sides like a lentil salad and a homemade apple crumble complete the service without adding clutter.

Le Fooding — Listed

In their tiny snack shop with a vintage look (pale green tiling, a retro facade, a real Mr. Freeze fridge), Charles, Kevin and Alexis serve sandwiches with tasty fillings from a numbered menu. The other day at lunch, we placed our money on the #30, a remastered Tunisian sandwich made on a bun from Mamiche and filled with copious amounts of tuna, peppers, piquillos, hard-boiled egg, potatoes, capers, olives and harissa! Also on the docket that day, a #13 made on thick pita bread with ham, mozzarella, eggplant caviar and pesto; and a #75 with ham and butter sourced from Zingam made on a tradition baguette. Start with a small lentil salad and end with a homemade apple crumble, and you’ve got yourself the perfect quick lunch! // S.O.
