The story
Le Servan is the story of two Franco-Filipina sisters: Tatiana, the executive chef, and Katia, the sommelier and general manager. They opened this Parisian bistro in 2014, and it has since become a fixture of the 11th arrondissement. At its heart, Le Servan is a French bistro, but one that weaves in Pan-Asian touches that reflect the sisters’ heritage – an approach that has earned it a Michelin Recommended nod.
The cuisine here is described as a French bistro with an Asian twist – a modern cuisine that draws from the sisters’ Filipino roots and Tatiana’s classical training. The menu changes with the seasons, always built around organic and locally sourced produce, sustainable seafood, and ethical farm meats. Nothing is flashy; the flavours are clear, confident, and grounded in technique.
Le Servan is part of a small family of restaurants that includes the sister spot Double Dragon and the recently opened wine bar Jolyne. Together, the team of about thirty people runs all three. The sisters place a strong emphasis on responsible business: organic and sustainable sourcing, direct relationships with producers and natural winemakers, and a commitment to creating a safe, respectful workplace for their staff.
The dining room is counter dining and tables, with outdoor seating when the weather allows. The energy is lively but unpretentious – the kind of place where you can drop in for a solo meal at the counter or gather a group for a private party. Katia’s wine list complements the food with a focus on natural wines from small producers.
Le Servan is open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. It is a restaurant that feels both personal and professional – the work of two sisters who know exactly what they want to share.
