Set atop the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, Les Ombres is a rooftop restaurant designed by architect Jean Nouvel. The dining room is entirely glass-walled, opening onto a panoramic terrace planted with Mediterranean species. Here, the view is the event: by day, the Eiffel Tower casts its lacework shadow across the tables; by night, it sparkles against a ceiling that itself becomes a shifting starry sky.

Vibrant, Honest Cuisine

The kitchen at Les Ombres works in a style that the restaurant describes as “vibrant, sincere and generous.” It blends the great classics of the Parisian brasserie with more contemporary, technically precise creations that define today’s essential tables. The cuisine is Mediterranean and modern, drawing on produce from engaged suppliers – many of them members of the Collège Culinaire de France – who practice responsible fishing, farming, and artisanal craftsmanship.

Lunch offers two menus (€48 and €65, excluding drinks), from a quick two-course option to a full three-course formula. Dinner moves into a more refined register: three- or four-course menus (€98 and €118), each preceded by an amuse-bouche. Both services make the most of that exceptional view.

This combination of setting and substance has earned Les Ombres a Michelin recommendation, a mark of the kitchen’s consistency and the overall experience.
