The story

Les Petits Parisiens: Modern Bistronomy in Paris's 14th Arrondissement

Les Petits Parisiens: a Bistro for Bon Vivants

In the 14th arrondissement, at 49 avenue Jean-Moulin, Les Petits Parisiens brings together the soul of a historic bistro and a fresh, cosmopolitan energy. The restaurant describes itself as “the address for bon vivants” – a place where seasonal produce, sweetbreads, and fine wines meet a warm, attentive welcome. This confident, generous cooking earned it a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026, as well as 14/20 and two toques from Gault & Millau.

The guiding force is owner Arnaud Duhem, a 30-year hospitality veteran who trained at the Shangri-La Paris, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, and alongside Alain Ducasse. In the kitchen, chef Lucas Felzine – with stints at the restaurants of Alain Passard, Anne-Sophie Pic, and William Ledeuil – crafts contemporary French cuisine that follows the rhythm of the seasons. His food is described as “lively and precise,” built on respect for producers and short supply chains. The menu changes weekly at lunch and features standouts like sweetbreads with smoked potato purée and fig leaf sabayon, or the prized AOP Fin Gras du Mézenc beef, cocoa and angelica sauce, potato gratin with sage. A 5-course tasting menu is available for the whole table (€65 lunch, €69 dinner).

The wine cellar bears the signature of sommelier Loïc Mougène, formerly of La Robe et le Palais. His selection favours natural wines, chosen to “create a beautiful continuity between the glass and the chef’s dishes,” and adds real depth to each meal.

The dining room balances elegance with ease – air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible, with outdoor seating and a bar. It welcomes families and pets alike. Les Petits Parisiens is open Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner, closed weekends. Reservations are recommended, especially for the limited-season Fin Gras du Mézenc, which the restaurant is the only left-bank address to offer.
