Milagro: A Parisian Bistronomic Address

A few steps from the Eiffel Tower and the École Militaire, Milagro is the second restaurant from Chef Justin Kent, following his popular coffee shop and eatery Zia in the same neighbourhood. The name means “miracle” in Spanish – a fitting sentiment for a space that took nearly two years of challenging renovations to bring to life. The result is a bistronomic restaurant where Kent’s Michelin-honed technique meets the relaxed, welcoming spirit of a friend’s home.

The Chef’s Story

Chef Justin Kent grew up in New Mexico before moving to Paris in 2011. He began his culinary career at Alain Passard’s three-Michelin-starred L’Arpège, then cooked at Agape Substance (David Toutain) and Verjus (Braden Perkins). In 2017, just weeks after the birth of his daughter, he opened Zia, which quickly became a beloved brunch and lunch destination. Milagro, his second project, opened in a former abandoned café nearby. “You'll feel like you're dining at the home of a close friend – who just happens to be a Michelin-trained chef,” Kent says.

The Food and Atmosphere

Milagro’s kitchen is driven by fresh, seasonal ingredients and a creativity that draws on international cuisines. The cooking is precise without being fussy, with dishes that aim for harmony and flavour. The wine list is thoughtfully curated to match. The team is multicultural, and the atmosphere is convivial – the kind of place where laughter and good food share the table. Even the resident dog, Tofu, adds to the warmth. Michelin recognised Milagro with a Recommended mention, a nod to its consistent quality and skillful modern cuisine. Whether you come for dinner or take away a picnic in warmer months, the experience is one of simple, genuine hospitality.
