The story
In the 15th arrondissement, just steps from the Pasteur metro, Pilgrim offers a dining experience that is both simple and refined. The restaurant’s own words describe the decor as “simple et apaisé” — a setting that lets the food speak. Chef Masaki Nagao is at the helm, crafting a cuisine that is guided by the seasons, the daily market arrivals, and his own inspiration of the moment.
This is modern cuisine in the truest sense: sensitive, precise, and built on the best products of the season. The menu evolves regularly, reflecting what Chef Nagao selects. For lunch, guests can choose from the “Menu Bourgeon” (3 courses at 55 €) or the “Menu Premières Fleurs” (4 courses at 75 €). At dinner, the tasting experience deepens with the “Menu Éclosion” (4 courses, 89 €), the “Menu Floraison” (5 courses, 120 €), and the “Menu Apogée” (7 courses, 155 €). An optional cheese course and a thoughtful wine and sake list — featuring independent vintners and artisanal cuvées — complete the picture.
The restaurant’s quiet confidence has been recognized by the Michelin guide, which has awarded it a Recommendation. It is a place where the chef’s Japanese sensibility meets French product-driven cooking, resulting in a meal that feels both grounded and surprising. Pilgrim is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, offering a welcome respite from the city’s bustle.
