The story
Since January 2017, a new energy has been blowing through the heart of the Marais. At 25 rue du Roi-de-Sicile, Tavline brings a Tel Aviv-inspired spirit to Paris. The name itself means “spices” in Hebrew, and it signals the restaurant’s soul: a cuisine that is lively, warm, and rooted in family recipes.
At the origin of Tavline are two lovers of Israeli cooking, including chef Kobi Villot-Malka. Trained under Alain Ducasse and formerly chef-proprietor of La Vitrine, he brings a refined hand to the table. The kitchen draws on the creative energy of Tel Aviv’s food markets, weaving Mediterranean and Eastern spices like zaatar and mechaia into every dish.
The result is a joyful layering of flavors — vibrant, bold, and genuinely welcoming. Every plate reflects a care for fresh, homemade produce and a deep respect for tradition. This is Israeli cuisine at its most expressive.
The restaurant’s quality has not gone unnoticed. Tavline earned a place in the Michelin guide, receiving the “Recommended” distinction for 2026. It’s a recognition that matches the warmth and precision of the cooking.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet attentive, with table service and an outdoor seating area for warmer months. Tavline also offers takeaway, delivery, and private chef services, making its distinctive food accessible beyond the dining room.
Whether you’re discovering the cuisine for the first time or returning for familiar favorites, Tavline delivers an experience that feels both personal and effortlessly generous.
