The story
Tempero presents Brazilian cooking in Paris under chef Alessandra Montagne, who recently reopened her restaurant just meters from the original address. After closing her Station F location, Montagne, who also owns Nosso, has returned to focus on a streamlined concept. Her French-Brazilian background informs a menu where classic techniques support robust regional flavors.
The interior functions as a hybrid of a bistro, an épicerie, and a wine shop. Plentiful wood accents define the bright space, creating a welcoming environment for diners and shoppers alike. The layout displays retail goods such as olive oil, honey, and spices alongside seating areas. This setup accommodates visitors from morning snacks through evening service, fostering a relaxed neighborhood rhythm.
The kitchen highlights chicken from Milly-la-Fôret, roasted in a Dutch oven until the skin reaches a perfect golden hue. Served with cream and canjiquinha, a Brazilian polenta praised for its remarkable creaminess, the dish anchors the lunch menu. Fresh salads feature raw cos lettuce tossed with honey mustard vinaigrette and grated Comté. Guests can also order an upside-down crème caramel or grab pão de queijo and cakes to take away.
