The story
High in the Massif du Mont Blanc, La Ferme de Cupelin occupies a restored 1850s farmhouse that has been a family home for generations. The setting is deliberately unhurried – a place for strolling, contemplation, and genuine pleasure at the table. The restaurant has been selected by the Guide Michelin since 2015, a recognition that speaks to the consistency and ambition of the cooking here.
The kitchen is led by Florian, who trained alongside several of the region’s most respected chefs – Julien Gatillon, Emmanuel Renaut, and Jean Sulpice. His cooking is rooted in Savoyard references but delivered in a style that is distinctly his own. He is joined by Lauriane, whose focus is on welcoming guests with warmth and precision. Together, they describe their approach as an art of living: "Welcoming you is our art of living."
The menu draws on local produce and mountain traditions, reinterpreted with modern technique. The restaurant also features Le Carnotzet, a more casual space for those seeking a lighter experience. Whether dining in the main room or outside on the terrace, the view stretches from Mont Blanc to Mont Joly. The restaurant is open for dinner Thursday through Tuesday, and for lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
