The story
At the Domaine Gastronomique Richard Lequet, just outside Périgueux in Boulazac Isle Manoire, chef Richard Lequet practices a modern cuisine rooted in French tradition. The restaurant, recognized by the Michelin guide, is built on the values of product quality, creativity, and sustainability. The team selects ingredients with care, favoring local producers and seasonal produce, while aiming to minimize their environmental footprint.
The dining room seats 50 guests in an intimate, warm setting defined by natural tones—mustard yellow, olive green, ebony, and wood. A large verrière offers panoramic views of the park, while a modern, open kitchen runs alongside the dining space. This design invites guests to watch the chef and his brigade at work throughout the meal. In warmer months, service extends to a terrace set within the wooded grounds.
The menu changes with the market. At lunch, a two-course option (starter and main, or main and dessert) is offered at 33 euros, and a three-course menu at 39 euros. Evenings and weekends feature longer tasting sequences: “Le 4” (four courses, 70 euros) and “Le 5” (five courses, 85 euros), with amuse-bouche and mignardises included. Wine pairings are available for both, with an “Initiation” pairing at 45 euros and an “Émotion” pairing at 55 euros.
A sample menu from a special event shows dishes like grilled foie gras with an apricot condiment, lobster in two services, and beef with seasonal peas and Iberian chorizo. The kitchen’s style is one of character and precision, offering a genuine experience of modern French gastronomy.
