The story
On the main avenue of Propriano, with the sea and the mountains in view, Tempi Fà has been a family affair since 2009. The name itself evokes the Corsican concept of taking time—and the place lives up to it. This is not a restaurant that rushes. It is a spot where the quality of ingredients, their provenance, and the simple pleasure of eating well are the only things that matter.
The kitchen offers what the owners call country cooking: a Corsican repertoire revisited through the seasons. You will find a wide choice of tapas, boards of AOP charcuterie and farmhouse cheeses, plus regularly changing bistro-style main courses and house-made desserts. The foie gras confit with candied Corsican cedrat, made by the chef in limited batches, is a seasonal standout. Everything is prepared in-house, driven by the rhythm of what the island provides.
Tempi Fà also functions as a carefully curated épicerie, stocked with charcuterie, cheeses, wines, preserves, honeys, and liqueurs sourced exclusively from local producers who share the restaurant’s commitment to tradition and quality. The same respect for the product that defines the dining room extends to the shelves.
Gault & Millau has praised the restaurant for “a concentration of goodness in an authentic, family-run bistro-grocery atmosphere,” and the Michelin guide lists Tempi Fà as Recommended. It is a place that lets Corsica speak for itself—through its produce, its people, and its unhurried pace.
