The story
In the heart of Finistère sud, at 4 Hent Koz in Quimper, Ti-Coz is the project of Valérie and Jean-Christophe Despinasse. Their promise: “cuisine soignée, de saison, qui fait la part belle aux produits du terroir” – careful, seasonal cooking that highlights local produce. The Michelin guide has recognized this consistent quality with a Bib Gourmand, an award for good value cooking that doesn't compromise on craft.
The kitchen draws on the best of Brittany’s larder, letting ingredients speak without fuss. While the menu changes with the seasons, the philosophy remains steady: straightforward, generous plates rooted in the region. Don’t expect a long list of dishes on the website – the focus is on what’s fresh and available.
What sets Ti-Coz apart is the wine cellar. Jean-Christophe is a passionate oenophile, and the restaurant boasts over 700 references. The team loves guiding guests through the list, matching each bottle to the meal. The result is a dining experience that feels both local and worldly.
The atmosphere is welcoming, with outdoor seating for warmer months and air conditioning inside. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, and vegetarian options are available. Private parties can also be arranged.
Ti-Coz is open for lunch and dinner, but note the seasonal hours: closed Sunday evening, Monday, and Tuesday except during summer when Tuesday evenings are added. The restaurant takes a break from June 15 to July 1, 2026. Reservations are recommended, especially for groups of more than six, which must be made by phone.
