The story
Just minutes from the centre of Rennes, Cueillette is set in a quiet countryside spot in Cesson-Sévigné. The restaurant has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for its focused, seasonal approach to modern cuisine.
Armand, who runs the kitchen alongside Fany, describes his cooking as simple and essential, built on striking flavour combinations with an eye for indulgence. The team draws inspiration from foraging – the “cueillettes” that give the restaurant its name – which keeps the menu rooted in what grows nearby. They work closely with local producers, letting the ingredients lead the way in each dish.
The offering changes with the seasons. At lunch from Wednesday to Friday, a three-course Menu Déjeuner is priced at €25. For a deeper experience, La Petite Cueillette presents four courses for €49, available at both lunch and dinner. La Grande Cueillette, a six-course affair at €64, is served at dinner and on Saturdays.
The wine list is shaped by personal encounters with passionate vignerons, and always includes a pairing suggestion for at least one dish on the menu.
The restaurant has two dining rooms – one cosy with a fireplace, the other brighter and more convivial. When the weather allows, a sheltered terrace opens up. A large private car park makes arrival easy, and a cycle path runs right past the door. The space can also be privatised for birthdays or business events.
Cueillette is open Wednesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, closed Sunday through Tuesday.
