The story
At 20 boulevard de la Tour-d’Auvergne in Rennes, chef Julien Lemarié and his team welcome guests from Tuesday evening through Saturday. The restaurant, awarded a Michelin star for high-quality cooking, focuses on precise, seasonal tasting menus that highlight the best of what Brittany has to offer.
The experience at Ima is built around choice and pace. Lunch service offers two options: the five-course “Pause” menu at 60€, designed to be enjoyed in about an hour and fifteen minutes, and the seven-course “Parenthese” menu at 80€. In the evening and on Saturday lunch, the ten-course “Interlude” menu at 140€ unfolds over a leisurely meal. Each menu is complemented by a sommelier’s wine pairing, priced from 40€ to 60€.
A notable commitment to inclusivity is evident in the kitchen’s ability to adapt every menu for vegetarian and vegan diets. This flexibility, combined with the team’s attention to detail and the restaurant’s calm, modern atmosphere, makes Ima a destination for both a quick, refined lunch and a longer, celebratory dinner. The restaurant’s Michelin star underscores the consistent quality and creativity that chef Lemarié brings to the table.
