The story
In the centre of Saint-Brieuc, just steps from the city's hotels and shopping streets, L'Air du Temps brings a thoughtful, modern cuisine to the table. Chef Cédric and his partner Stéphanie opened the restaurant in 2006, and after fifteen years at their original address, they moved to a new space in April 2021 – one that better matched their ambitions. The new setting includes a terrace and a patio, and the atmosphere balances simplicity with conviviality, modernity with tradition.
The kitchen is built around fresh, seasonal ingredients, and the couple make a point of working with local producers. It is a straightforward philosophy, but one that has earned the restaurant a place in multiple guides and, most recently, a Michelin Recommended mention. The recognition is a natural fit for a restaurant that has quietly built a reputation for flavour and sincerity since its early days.
Both Cédric and Stéphanie trained in hotel and restaurant schools – Dinard for one, Saint-Nazaire for the other – and worked in several gastronomic houses before opening their own place. Their experience shows in the calm, assured cooking, which lets the produce speak without unnecessary complication.
Whether you come for lunch or dinner, the restaurant offers table service and outdoor seating when the weather allows. It is also possible to buy a gift voucher, usable either in the restaurant or for the wine cellar to take away. The overall impression is of a place that has grown into its skin: unpretentious, generous, and firmly rooted in its Breton home.
