The story
In March 2025, a new name appeared at 7 place de l’Église in Hillion: Le Bon Abri. The project brings together chef Christophe Le Fur, Sonia, and Jean-Charles, who wanted to create a place built on friendship, energy, and a shared love for the region’s larder – the sea. The result is a bistronomique table that feels both generous and sincere.
Le Fur, who signs the carte as “by Christophe Le Fur,” has entrusted the stove to a former disciple of his Grand Maison brigade. The cooking is frank and lively, drawing on the produce of the nearby Presqu’île d’Hillion. The menu changes with the season and the tides, offering dishes like a Kig Ha Farz of Coquilles Saint-Jacques with root vegetables and a perfumed broth, or a low-temperature cod loin with squid-ink tagliatelle and saffron hollandaise. The “Balade entre Armor et Argoat” lunch menu (three courses for €27) shows the same care, with a velouté of potimarron and a roasted guinea fowl with sweet potato purée.
Sonia welcomes guests into a dining room that is calm and inviting – a setting that matches the restaurant’s name. The place is already earning attention: Le Bon Abri received a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026, a nod to the quality of its bistrot marin cooking and its commitment to honest, ingredient-led food. For anyone exploring the Côtes-d’Armor, this is a table worth seeking out.
