The story
Fanny Rey and Jonathan Wahid have cultivated their craft together for twenty-four years. They met at the Ritz in Paris, where she directed the kitchen and he oversaw pastry operations. After eight years at the Ritz, the couple relocated to the Oustau de Baumanière. Jonathan won the title of Champion of France for Dessert during that period. They launched L'Auberge de St-Remy in July 2012, designing a kitchen where their workstations stand adjacent to one another.
The kitchen's focus on Provence gastronomy has attracted consistent acclaim. L'Auberge received its first Michelin star in 2017 and secured a second star in 2025. Fanny Rey was decorated with the Legion of Honour in 2025 for her professional contributions. The restaurant also earned four radishes from the We're Smart Green Guide for 2026.
The dining room sits within a contemporary stone building classified as a historical monument. Located in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the site provides a quiet retreat from the surrounding activity. Terraces offer outdoor seating, including areas where guests may bring their dogs. The property includes a hotel with ten rooms and the Mas Garance villa. The restaurant provides air conditioning throughout the main service area.
