The story
In the heart of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, Côté Bastide brings together the talents of Laurence and Cédric Tomada, two former students of the Lycée Hôtelier de Gascogne in Talence. Laurence leads the kitchen as chef, while Cédric oversees the wine list, a carefully curated selection of 160 references.
The restaurant’s modern cuisine is anchored in seasonal produce. The menu changes to reflect what is freshest, and the kitchen aims to satisfy even the most demanding palates. A 2026 Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide recognizes the restaurant for good quality, good value cooking—a fitting tribute to their consistent, ingredient-driven approach.
The dining room is set for lunch and dinner, with air conditioning for warmer months. Whether for a meal à deux or with friends, the atmosphere is welcoming and unhurried. The wine list, built by Cédric, is a particular strength, offering depth and variety to complement the seasonal dishes.
Côté Bastide is a place where the focus remains on the plate and the glass—straightforward, accomplished, and well worth the detour.
