The story
On the Presqu'île de Rhuys, in the Morbihan, a 16th-century manor house has been reborn as a four-star hotel and restaurant. Le Manoir de Kerbot is an old seigneurial home where stone walls meet a warm, contemporary atmosphere, set within five hectares of landscaped parkland.
The restaurant is helmed by chef Mathieu, whose seasonal, local, and refined cuisine draws on the Breton terroir. The menu changes with the market, offering dishes such as Atlantic hake loin with beetroot textures and apple emulsion, or roasted yellow chicken breast with seasonal vegetables. The kitchen is complemented by the wine pairings of sommelier Gaëlle, who works to elevate each course. A six-course blind Discovery Menu, available as a gift voucher, showcases the chef’s signature creations.
This commitment to quality, seasonal cooking at a reasonable price has earned Le Manoir de Kerbot a Michelin Bib Gourmand award—a mark of good value and good food that aligns perfectly with the manor’s welcoming spirit.
The dining experience extends beyond the plate. A new veranda, opening onto the pond and the estate courtyard, hosts breakfasts and, in fine weather, the restaurant itself. It is a serene space to enjoy the light and the landscape. The property also features a spa in the former wine cellar, with a hammam, sauna, and jacuzzi, making it a destination for a complete, unhurried stay.
