The story
Bistrot Coco calls itself a convivial, unpretentious and warm place – and it delivers exactly that. On the rue de l’Écurie in central Strasbourg, this bistro has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for its confident, season-led cooking. The kitchen works in the spirit of modern cuisine, drawing on French traditions while keeping things fresh and surprising.
The restaurant’s philosophy is rooted in terroir: short supply chains, market produce, and a respect for the seasons. The result is a menu that changes regularly, with a lunch offering renewed every two weeks. For those who want to be surprised, the “Carte Blanche” option lets the chef take over entirely. Guests choose between four, five or six courses (€69–€85), with a vegetarian version available. A matching wine pairing – or a non-alcoholic alternative – is offered by the glass.
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The dining room is air-conditioned, and the bistro is open for both lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Saturday. Private parties can also be arranged.
Bistrot Coco’s modern cuisine is not about gimmicks. It is about precise, audacious flavours that still feel rooted in the French table. As the restaurant puts it, coming here is not just a meal – it is an experience. That experience, recognised by Michelin, is built on honest ingredients, skilled cooking, and a genuine sense of hospitality.
