The story
In Pfulgriesheim, just outside Strasbourg, the Meyer family has been running Bürestubel for more than fifty years. Three generations have taken turns at the stoves, passing down the same passion for authentic taste and sharing. The restaurant is a true family story, and the welcome is warm and personal.
The kitchen is built on tradition and respect for the seasons. Everything is made in-house, using carefully selected local products from trusted producers. The result is generous, flavourful dishes that taste of the region. The menu includes classic Alsatian specialities, salads, and desserts, as well as tarte flambées baked in a wood-fired oven, available only in the evening. The Meyer family also offers takeaway and delivery, and hosts brunch on select Sundays.
This commitment to honest, seasonal cooking has earned Bürestubel a place in the Michelin guide, which recommends the restaurant for its quality and consistency. It is a recognition that matches the family's own philosophy: cooking that makes sense, respects the rhythm of the year, and recalls the pleasure of a meal shared around the table.
Whether you are a regular or a first-time visitor, the Meyers aim to welcome you like family. The atmosphere is one of conviviality, authenticity, and simple gourmandise.
