The story
Just steps from Port Sud and the banks of the Canal du Midi, La Table de Laurent welcomes guests into a discreet, convivial space. Chef Laurent Prat has built his restaurant on three principles: a cuisine that moves with the seasons, consistent quality, and a warm atmosphere that puts diners at ease. This approach earned the restaurant a Michelin Recommended distinction, a recognition that aligns with its commitment to fresh, local produce and meticulous cooking.
By midday, La Table de Laurent serves a traditional, accessible cuisine designed to fit the rhythm of a working lunch. In the evening, the tone shifts: the chef unveils a more refined, contemporary style. Both services share the same foundation — everything is made in-house, sourced from nearby producers. The open kitchen features a large shared table, encouraging a spirit of friendly exchange as guests watch the team at work.
The shaded terrace makes the most of Toulouse's sunny days, while the tea room offers a quiet afternoon break from Monday to Friday. On the first two Sundays of each month, the restaurant hosts a brunch starting at 10 am. With its bistronomy ethos, modern French cooking, and a genuine connection to the land, La Table de Laurent is a place where the seasons guide the plate and the welcome is always genuine.
