The story
Just steps from the Abbey of Tournus, Hôtel-Restaurant Le Terminus has been welcoming guests since 2004. Nathalie looks forward to introducing you to the hotel’s individually decorated rooms, each a little discovery. But the heart of the house is the restaurant, where Olivier and his team invite you to share a cuisine that is both gourmet and authentic. The restaurant’s Michelin recommendation reflects the consistent quality and genuine character of the cooking.
Olivier’s kitchen is built on fresh, high-quality ingredients. “To cook well you need good ingredients, a palate, heart, and friends,” as the quote from Pierre Perret that appears on the restaurant’s site puts it. The result is a cuisine that is generous and rooted in the traditions of Southern Burgundy. The dining room has been refreshed with chic, cosy tones, and in warmer months the shaded terrace offers a sunny spot to enjoy a meal. Air conditioning keeps things comfortable when the weather is hot.
Le Terminus is not only a restaurant. The hotel offers a lounge bar for a relaxed drink, and a carefully considered wine list that celebrates the region’s great bottles. A daily “cocotte” special changes throughout the week, and the house tartare is a perennial favourite. Whether you are staying overnight or just passing through, the team here makes sure you feel at home.
