The story
Les Hautes Roches is set directly on the quai de la Loire in Rochecorbon, a short drive from the centre of Tours. The restaurant takes its name from the high limestone cliffs that characterise this stretch of the river. Inside, the dining room is calm and understated, with large windows framing the water. In warmer months, the terrace opens for outdoor seating.
The cuisine balances tradition and modernity. Dishes are built around seasonal produce, with the Loire Valley’s bounty at the fore. The kitchen respects classic technique while introducing contemporary touches. The wine list is a particular strength: it leans heavily on local appellations, from Vouvray to Chinon, and offers thoughtful pairings.
Michelin has awarded Les Hautes Roches its Recommended status for 2026, a marker of consistent quality and careful cooking. Parking is available on site, making it an easy stop for a leisurely lunch or dinner by the river.
