The story
La Table d'Uzès is the culinary jewel of La Maison d'Uzès, a five-star hotel in the historic heart of the Ducal city. Located just steps from the hotel, the restaurant occupies a fully renovated space facing the majestic Uzès cathedral. Chef Christophe Ducros, who took the reins of the kitchen in 2016, has maintained the prestigious Michelin star ever since, a testament to his consistent, high-quality modern cuisine.
The restaurant’s atmosphere is inspired by the opulence of a light-filled orangery and the serenity of a lush winter garden. The décor is both refined and calming, creating an enveloping experience. During warmer months, the sun-drenched terrace serves as a natural extension of the dining room, offering guests an uninterrupted view of the iconic cathedral while maintaining the same level of elegance and hospitality found indoors.
Originally from Valence, Chef Ducros describes his philosophy simply: “We cultivate the spirit of seasonal gastronomy. It forges its authenticity in respect for the original products.” His cuisine is sincere and luminous, deeply rooted in the territory. He selects fruits, vegetables, and aromatic herbs with rigor from the surrounding valley, drawing inspiration from the vibrant stalls of the nearby Place aux Herbes market. The result is a menu that celebrates heritage and creativity, focusing on freshness, precise cooking, and balanced flavors for an experience that is both authentic and resolutely contemporary.
