The story
La Pyramide in Vienne has anchored its reputation on decades of French gastronomy, guided by Chef Patrick Henriroux since he took over the kitchen in 1989. He established a supply network involving roughly one hundred local producers within a twenty-five kilometre radius, drawing daily inspiration from the Rhône valley markets. His menus feature plant-forward compositions alongside premium meats and seafood, reflecting a refined approach to regional cuisine that treats vegetables with technical precision. This commitment to responsible sourcing recently earned the restaurant two radishes from the We're Smart Green Guide, complementing two Michelin stars held continuously since 1992.
The property traces its lineage back to 1822, passing through four families before Fernand Point transformed it into the first establishment to receive three Michelin stars. Henriroux stepped into those historic kitchens at thirty-one, determined to preserve the site while adapting service standards to contemporary expectations. His wife Pascale oversees financial operations, while their children now manage hospitality, logistics, and guest relations. This multi-generational structure keeps the dining room grounded in a practical philosophy that prioritizes genuine hospitality over formality.
Interior designer Régis Dho shaped the main dining areas using clean lines and natural materials, creating an environment that feels modern without losing warmth. Guests can move freely between the formal tasting menu downstairs and the botanical-inspired Espace Ph③ bistro, which features an open kitchen and relaxed seating. The upper floor houses the Blue Pearl lounge, a quieter setting for evening cocktails and rotating seasonal themes. A separate wine boutique nearby completes the visit by offering rare bottles curated directly from the estate’s cellar.
