The story
At an altitude of over 1,000 metres, in the heart of the Vercors Regional Nature Park, Asterales is the gastronomic restaurant of the Hôtel du Golf in Corrençon-en-Vercors, near Villard-de-Lans. Housed in a former family farm that has been transformed into a hotel over generations, the restaurant offers a setting that is both warm and deeply connected to the mountain landscape.
The restaurant’s modern cuisine earned it a Michelin star in 2026, a recognition that speaks to the precision and creativity of the kitchen. The atmosphere is one of understated elegance, where the convivial spirit of the mountains meets refined dining. The hotel’s own story — of hikers and early skiers knocking on the farm’s windows for shelter or a snack — grounds the experience in a sense of place.
The dining room is complemented by a terrace, a bar, and an outdoor heated pool, making it a destination for all seasons. The wine list is carefully curated, and the restaurant is open for dinner throughout school holidays, with lunch service on Saturdays and Sundays. Outside holiday periods, the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Asterales is part of the Hôtel du Golf, which offers 22 wood-panelled rooms, a wellness area, and direct access to the surrounding nature. The restaurant is also available for private events and catering. With its Michelin star and its location at the gateway to the Vercors, Asterales is a place where the modern cuisine of the mountains is served with genuine hospitality.
