The story
Wintergarten, located within the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa, overlooks the famous Lichtentaler Allee in Baden-Baden. Named for its sun-drenched dining room, the restaurant and its adjoining park terrace create an airy space for meals throughout the day. Natural light fills the room, complementing the view of the historic park.
The kitchen focuses on contemporary, seasonal cuisine. Regional products are selected according to the season, shaping a menu that changes regularly. French influences appear in the preparation and presentation, adding a refined touch. Alongside these seasonal specialties, the restaurant keeps timeless classics such as steak tartare, prepared tableside. The cuisine is driven by the quality of ingredients from Baden and beyond, resulting in dishes that are both grounded and elegant.
Wintergarten has been awarded a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026, reflecting its consistent excellence. The restaurant also holds the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, an honour given to only a select few restaurants in Germany. The wine list balances regional selections from Baden and Germany with outstanding international labels, guided by the chef-sommelier.
The restaurant serves lunch daily from 12:00 to 14:00 and dinner from 18:00 to 21:30. A business lunch menu is available Monday through Thursday. For dinner, several menus are offered, and the chef-sommelier is on hand to recommend pairings. A seasonal asparagus menu also appears when the ingredient is at its peak. Outdoor seating on the terrace is available, and the restaurant is air-conditioned for comfort.
