The story
Eighty metres above the rooftops of Braunschweig, Überland offers a dining experience shaped by its extraordinary setting. The restaurant sits atop the Business Center II in the BraWoPark, commanding the city’s skyline. The interior blends modern art deco with vintage touches, creating an atmosphere that feels both polished and welcoming. A stylish bar and a rooftop terrace extend the experience, while a private dining floor accommodates larger gatherings.
The kitchen focuses on contemporary international cuisine, drawing from high-quality ingredients. The menu features premium beef, fresh fish, and house-made pasta, complemented by seasonal sides from the region. Dishes such as beef fillet from a German heifer, grilled octopus, truffle pasta, and Arctic char with caponata appear regularly, reflecting a kitchen that values precision and flavour. The wine list is extensive, with a strong selection of German whites and an impressive range of Champagnes.
Überland’s quality has been recognised by the Michelin Guide, which awarded it a Recommendation. This accolade speaks to the consistency and ambition of the kitchen, as well as the overall experience the restaurant delivers. The service is described as personal and attentive, ensuring each visit feels individual.
