The story
Just outside Emmerich, near the Bienener Altrhein nature reserve, the Siemes family runs Zu den drei Linden – a landhaus that combines private event spaces with an ambitious restaurant, Lindenblüte. Here, the focus is on seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking served in a calm, Mediterranean-inspired dining room.
The kitchen at Lindenblüte works with a regularly changing menu built around fresh, seasonal produce. Guests can compose their own meal from a selection of refined starters, main courses, soups, and desserts, or choose from the chef’s suggested menus. The cooking style is international in outlook, drawing on classic techniques and bright, natural flavours. A recent tapas evening, presented in eight courses, shows the kitchen’s versatility.
In December 2023, the restaurant was named “Highlight des Monats” by the Guide Michelin – a distinction the team was proud to receive. This recognition has been followed by a Michelin Recommended award for 2026, placing Lindenblüte among the guide’s reliably good addresses. The award underscores the consistent quality of the international cuisine and the warm, professional service.
The dining room is stylish and Mediterranean, with an airy feel that suits both intimate dinners and larger celebrations. Outside, guests can enjoy the garden seating in warmer months. The landhaus also hosts private events, cooking classes, and romantic candlelight dinners – each season brings new offerings alongside returning favourites.
