The story
Just steps from MyZeil, GRETA OTO Frankfurt brings a lively, elegant take on Latin American cuisine to the city center. The restaurant, which recently earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, blends the spirit of its Munich sibling with a distinct Frankfurt energy — a space where refinement meets vibrant, Amazonian-inspired flavors.
The terrace is a defining feature here: a sun-drenched escape above the bustle of Thurn-und-Taxis-Platz. "A little getaway above the city," the restaurant calls it — ideal for a quick lunch, lingering cocktails, or sharing plates with friends. From midday brightness to golden-hour drinks, the terrace feels like a mini vacation without leaving Frankfurt.
The kitchen draws from Peruvian ceviche to Brazilian beef, reimagining Amazonian traditions with a modern twist. The menu is built for sharing — guacamole prepared tableside, signature taco flights (chicken, jackfruit, lobster), and a ceviche GRETA OTO served with classic leche de tigre or an exotic unplugged version. Larger plates include a grilled whole pulpo with pebre sauce, a chef’s signature 400g ribeye with black beans and peanut pesto, and an Amazonian chaufa of roasted pork belly and chorizo.
The bar matches the ambition: a classic Pisco Sour, a coffee-spiked Piscotini, and a spicy Margarita are among the signatures.
Tuesdays are for Martes de Tacos — an eight-taco tasting menu paired with two Pisco Sours. Thursday evenings from April to October bring Latin After Work, with live Amazonian beats and à la carte snacks. And from March 15, a new Business Lunch offers a Caja Bento box, Monday through Friday, 12 to 3 PM.
For larger gatherings, La Mesa provides a discreet, elegant private dining table set within the restaurant’s atmosphere — suitable for celebrations or business dinners.
GRETA OTO Frankfurt is open daily for lunch and dinner, with a smart casual dress code. The space is air-conditioned, with bar seating, outdoor tables, and a private room available.
