The story
Chef Julio Pizarro’s cooking is a direct reflection of his life and travels. At his intimate restaurant in Groß-Gerau, the focus is on the sea—seaweed, fish, mussels, and caviar form the foundation of every dish. Fresh, high-quality products are the starting point, and each creation tells a story drawn from the chef’s own experiences.
The menu is a journey through Nikkei cuisine, the natural fusion of Peruvian tradition with Japanese finesse. Pizarro Fine Dining offers a single, fixed tasting menu built around products of the sea. Pescatarian options are available with advance notice, but the kitchen does not offer a vegetarian menu, underscoring its commitment to a specific culinary identity.
The dining room seats just fourteen guests, creating a familiar, home-like atmosphere. A chef’s table is positioned directly at the open kitchen counter, placing the precision and storytelling of the kitchen on full display. The service is punctual—guests arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 pm, with the first course served promptly at 7:15 pm.
This focused, personal approach has earned the restaurant a place in the Michelin guide, recognized for its quality and distinct point of view. Pizarro Fine Dining is open Wednesday through Saturday evening, with the space also available for private events for up to twenty people.
