The story
For over sixty years, Wieland-Stuben has been a fixture in Hamm. The restaurant's roots run deep, yet its kitchen and atmosphere have evolved without sacrificing the quality and care that define it. Today, the Michelin Guide recommends Wieland-Stuben, recognising its commitment to classic French cuisine built on fresh, high-quality produce.
The kitchen, led by owner and chef Lukas Erfurth, is grounded in classic French techniques. Mediterranean lightness meets hearty home-style cooking, each dish freshly interpreted by Erfurth and his team. The result is a menu that feels both refined and welcoming – from a delicate vitello tonnato to a robust rump of Iberico pork, or a perfectly cooked zander with risotto and spinach. Seasonal menus, like the Easter or Sunday three-course offerings, showcase this balance.
The restaurant’s three dining rooms and romantic courtyard terrace create a setting that is both elegant and comfortable. Ronja Erfurth, the restaurant manager and sommelier, leads the service team with warmth and attention. It is this blend of tradition and modernity, of classic French cuisine and genuine hospitality, that has earned Wieland-Stuben its loyal following and a place among Michelin’s recommended restaurants in Germany.
