The story
Traube, located at Rathausstraße 75 in Heidelberg's Rohrbach district, was more than a restaurant—it was a family's life's work. Run by Ole Hake and Lisa Ziegler, this establishment was recognized by the Michelin guide for its modern cuisine, a testament to the dedication and passion poured into every plate.
The restaurant's own words reveal a story of deep personal commitment: "The Traube was never just a restaurant for us – it was our reason for living as a family here in Rohrbach, for which we gave everything." This spirit was evident in the care taken with ingredients sourced from trusted partners and in the relationships built with guests over a decade.
Sadly, despite immense effort, Traube has permanently closed. The owners shared a heartfelt farewell, thanking their families, team, friends, suppliers, and guests who filled their rooms with life. For those who experienced its modern cuisine in Heidelberg, the memories of the shared meals and the warm atmosphere remain.
