The story
Sandro Lüthi stepped into the kitchen at Villa am See in Goldach during the spring of 2024. He earned his federal master chef qualification at twenty-two and has since built a reputation for disciplined technique. His approach treats cooking as a calling rather than a mere job. The menu reflects years of training across various hotels and restaurants, translated into a streamlined seasonal format.
Villa am See in Goldach serves modern European cuisine that balances precision with approachable warmth. A chilled quail galantine rests on chawanmushi custard, accompanied by a sharp kimchi hollandaise and a crisp spring roll. Summer shifts toward seafood preparations like tuna tataki paired with palm heart cream, melon spheres, and a light dashi beurre blanc. The kitchen also turns out substantial potato gnocchi tossed with vongole, scallop slices, and saffron tomato fond.
Large glass windows frame direct views of Lake Constance from both the main hall and the attached pavilion. Guests can step onto the outdoor terrace when the weather holds, or retreat indoors to enjoy the same panoramic sightlines. The ground floor features a wheelchair lift and an accessible restroom, ensuring the entire venue remains navigable for all visitors. Natural materials and low lighting create a relaxed environment where continental cooking feels completely at home.
