The story
In the quiet village of Rüdigsdorf, set within the rolling landscape of the “Rüdigsdorfer Schweiz,” Patricia and Andreas Oberbüchler have run Feine Speiseschenke since 2013. The restaurant, which earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand for good quality, good value cooking, focuses on regional ingredients prepared with precision and a light Mediterranean touch.
The kitchen works with produce sourced largely from the surrounding region. A particular point of pride is the beef from Scottish Highland cattle and bison raised on the nearby Berghof Forst, where extensive, natural grazing produces meat of exceptional quality. These ingredients are treated simply and carefully, letting their character speak.
The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious. Guests can choose from a menu of local specialties or opt for one of the surprise candlelight dinners – a three- or five-course menu that changes with the seasons. A thoughtfully curated wine list and attentive service complete the experience. The restaurant also offers overnight stays, making it easy to linger after a long meal.
Feine Speiseschenke’s international cuisine, grounded in regional tradition and executed with genuine hospitality, makes it a destination worth seeking out.
