The story
In Schwarzenfeld, Tamara Fäller and Christian Bernholz have turned their dream into reality. After years working in top gastronomy both in Germany and abroad, they now welcome guests to their own restaurant, where they treat food as passion, enjoyment, and, above all, an art form. Their approach has earned them a Michelin recommendation, a recognition that speaks to the quality and care behind every dish.
At esskunst, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The team believes that enjoyment comes before etiquette, and they are happy to explain each dish personally. The kitchen works exclusively with fresh, hand-selected ingredients of the highest quality. They compose unique plates by blending different cuisines and styles, reinterpreting classic dishes with a single golden rule: everything is allowed, as long as it tastes good.
Guests can choose between two different four-course menus or mix and match their own experience from the à la carte selection. The offerings include a "Land" menu with dishes like pan-fried duck liver with cassis, cinnamon pear, and pecan, or spinach dumplings with beetroot, walnut, and Parmesan. The "Wasser" menu features a duo of scallops with paprika and jalapeño, or gently cooked winter cod with coconut, lemongrass, and sesame. For those seeking something different, there is also a rosé beef fillet with speck beans and a French cheese selection. Vegetarian alternatives are available, and groups of more than seven receive a special selection card.
The modern cuisine served here is a testament to the chefs' dedication to craft and creativity, making esskunst a destination for anyone who values genuine, artful cooking.
