The story
Caroline Autenrieth and José María González Sampedro met in the kitchen of Le Petit Nice Passedat in Marseille. She is from Swabia, he from Mallorca. In Stuttgart’s Waldhorn, they bring together the flavours of the Mediterranean and the Swabian Alb.
The couple cooks a single menu each evening, changing with the seasons. Lunch offers a smaller version; dinner is the full experience. A wine pairing is available for those who want to explore further. The cuisine is contemporary European, rooted in the ingredients of the moment.
The Michelin guide has recognised Waldhorn with a recommendation for 2026, a nod to the precision and clarity of the cooking. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Saturday, and the team works with a focused, ingredient-driven approach.
The dining room is unfussy and welcoming, with outdoor seating for warmer months. Parking is available. Vegetarian guests are well catered for. The address is Krehlstraße 111, 70565 Stuttgart – a short distance from the city centre, yet with a calm, neighbourhood feel.
All prices include VAT. Small Menu for Lunch: 52 €. Large Menu for Dinner: 118 €. Accompanying wines: 54 €.
