The story
The Gasthaus zur Linde occupies a 300-year-old former post station in Stuttgart-Möhringen. Under brothers Ferdinand and Maximilian Trautwein, the kitchen focuses on classic Swabian country cooking. The foundation is "Großmutters Rezept" – grandmother’s recipes – complemented by seasonal creations. Ingredients come exclusively from local farmers and suppliers known personally, ensuring fresh, sustainable produce.
The historic, listed building provides a unique setting. The restaurant has welcomed guests from politics, business, and celebrity circles. It is a place for genuine Swabian hospitality, with a competent and friendly service team. Outdoor seating is available, and the restaurant also offers catering.
The restaurant's commitment to honest, regional cuisine has earned it a Michelin Recommendation for 2026. This recognition underscores the quality of the cooking, which transforms simple, high-quality ingredients into satisfying dishes. The Linde is also an ambassador for Nicolas Feuillatte champagne and uses Olav cookware, reflecting a dedication to precision.
Zur Linde participates in local events such as the BOSS OPEN and the Stuttgarter Weindorf, integrating itself into the city's cultural calendar.
