The story
At the Wellness Natur Resort Gut Edermann in Teisendorf, the gourmet restaurant MundArt2015 offers a dining experience that stays true to the surrounding countryside. Chef Christian Martin and his team work with premium-quality, regional ingredients to create dishes that are described as “genuine, authentic and creative.” The menu changes with the seasons, and alongside classic meat and fish options, a vegan gourmet menu is always available. This commitment to honest, locally sourced cooking earned the restaurant a Michelin Bib Gourmand – a recognition of good quality at a good value.
Guests can choose from several atmospheres within the resort. The Bauernstube 1910, a restored farmhouse from the turn of the 20th century, charms with dark wood panelling, handmade carvings, and subdued lighting – a setting that feels both historic and intimate. For a modern, light-filled meal, the Panorama Restaurant offers sweeping views of the alpine foothills. In warmer months, the sun terrace provides a natural idyll overlooking the resort’s own garden and the Berchtesgadener Land mountains. Every plate reflects the same philosophy: celebrate regional diversity, keep it authentic, and let the ingredients speak.
The kitchen’s approach is what the resort calls “regional pleasure” – a focus on suppliers from the Berchtesgadener Land area, organic dairy, and homemade jams. The breakfast buffet even carries a “Biosphere Breakfast” label for its sustainable sourcing. For dinner, the 4-course gourmet menu and a separate 4-course longevity menu (partly alkaline) are served daily. The restaurant is open to outside guests as well, making MundArt2015 a destination for anyone seeking honest, skillfully prepared country cooking in the heart of Bavaria.
