Concept Gourmet restaurant in a neo-Gothic banquet hall within a carefully restored count's country estate. A 4 to 6-course menu is offered; modifications are charged at €19 per course. Cuisine Style Maik Albrecht cooked alongside Harald Wohlfahrt and subsequently traveled worldwide for SeaCloud Cruises. At Burg Schlitz, he has now returned to Grande Cuisine and focuses on luxury ingredients. This is evident in dishes such as Danish royal red shrimp served with sugar snap peas and tomato-saffron broth, or imperial pigeon paired with Tropea onions and raspberry vinegar. Game meat comes from the estate's own hunting grounds. Wine Fine Bordeaux alongside the finest selections from the Mosel, Nahe, and Franconia regions. Sommelier Franziska Pauli also keeps an eye out for new discoveries from Italy, Romania, and the Spanish islands. Atmosphere A touch of fairy-tale castle; elegant table settings feature candlesticks, while the snow-white decorated vaulted ceiling appears as if frosted with icing. Dogs must remain outside. Conclusion A highly personal culinary experience.
