The team relocated to the protected Ohlendorff estate in Hamburg during 2014, preserving high ceilings and original woodwork while adapting the layout for modern service. The property undergoes a comprehensive structural renewal ahead of a May 2026 reopening, ensuring the historical framework supports both casual dining and larger events.

Kitchen Rhythms and Pastry Craft

Mornings centre around plated breakfasts like the Fiaker, which arranges cured meats and sharp cheeses beside a vegan Bircher muesli. The kitchen transitions to a rotating lunch programme between twelve and fourteen, featuring light noodle dishes, white fish preparations, and classic meat plates served alongside daily broths. The patisserie fulfills bespoke requests ranging from simple birthday cakes to elaborate wedding desserts, though handcrafted production limits daily availability.

Diverse Rooms and Culinary Recognition

Visitors select their preferred setting among the book-lined library, the glass-enclosed winter garden facing mature park oaks, or the sheltered south terrace anchored by a large heritage beech tree.
