The story
Perched on the rooftop of The Leinster hotel, Jean-Georges at The Leinster brings the celebrated chef’s signature Contemporary cuisine to Dublin. The restaurant has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a nod to the precision and creativity that define the experience here.
Jean-Georges Vongerichten draws on local Irish produce—grass-fed beef, wild turbot, monkfish, and langoustines—and fuses them with French technique and Southeast Asian accents. The result is a menu that feels both grounded in its surroundings and boldly original. Highlights from the current line-up include Egg toast with caviar and herbs, Tuna Tartare with avocado, spicy radish, and ginger marinade, and a Whole roasted cauliflower with turmeric tahini, zaatar, pomegranate, date molasses, red zhug, and pistachio. Parmesan-crusted organic chicken with artichokes, lemon butter, and basil is another standout, while desserts finish with a Decadent warm chocolate cake alongside Tahitian vanilla ice-cream.
The dining room seats up to 140 guests and offers sweeping views of Georgian Dublin and the Dublin Mountains. It is an airy, light-filled space suitable for a relaxed lunch or a celebratory evening. An in-house sommelier and head bartender have curated the wine list and cocktail programme to complement the nuanced flavours of the food.
Open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, Jean-Georges at The Leinster also offers a tasting menu for those who want the full breadth of the chef’s vision. The restaurant’s commitment to local sourcing and seasonal ingredients is reflected in every dish—as Vongerichten himself says, “We don’t do good food without good ingredients.”
