The story
Since opening in November 2016, Mr Fox has quietly established itself on Dublin’s north side. Housed in a historic Georgian townhouse on Parnell Square, the restaurant brings a refined yet unpretentious energy to the city’s dining scene. The kitchen focuses on contemporary Irish cooking with a clear French influence – a style that earned the restaurant a place in the Michelin Guide.
The menu at Mr Fox is built on seasonality and quality. A set menu changes monthly, reflecting the freshest ingredients from local suppliers. An à la carte option shifts day to day depending on what’s available. For those who want the full experience, a chef’s set menu is offered at €73 per person. Vegetarian menus are available on request, and the team can accommodate dietary needs with advance notice.
Parnell Square provides a quiet, elegant backdrop. The dining room suits both intimate dinners and larger gatherings – private hire and group menus (for parties of six or more) are available. Lunch service runs on Saturdays, while dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday. Bookings are encouraged, and the restaurant operates a 24-hour cancellation policy with a €75 per person fee for late cancellations.
Mr Fox delivers a considered, modern take on French-influenced Irish cuisine in a setting that feels both special and welcoming.
